Media, PA- Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer and members of Delaware County Council will observe Crime Victims’ Rights’ Week with an event on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 12:30 p.m.

LOCATION UPDATE (4/28): Please be advised that today’s press event regarding Crime Victims’ Week will be held in Council chambers in the Government Center building. Please use the Orange Street entrance to Government Center, and Park Police will direct you to Council chambers.

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week will be commemorated nationwide from April 24 to April 30. This effort, led by the Department of Justice’s Office for Victims of Crime, is dedicated to honoring victims and the professionals who serve them. The theme for 2022 is Rights, Access, Equity, for All Victims. This year’s theme emphasizes the importance of helping crime survivors find justice by enforcing victims’ rights, expanding access to services, and ensuring equity and inclusion for all. Every year, thousands of communities across the nation recognize the dedication of those who work to ensure that all victims have the rights and services they need to recover from crime.

Residents of Delaware County are fortunate to have numerous organizations dedicated to supporting victims of crime, including:

2. Delaware County Children and Youth Services
3. Court Financial Services
4. Victim Services Unit of Juvenile Court
5. County Office of Services for the Aging
6. Family Support Line
7. Domestic Abuse Project
8. Court Appointed Special Advocates
9. Family Support Line
10. Delaware County Victim Assistance Center
11. Parents of Murdered Children
12. Every Child Counts
13. Mothers Against Drunk Driving

Many of these organizations will have representatives on hand for the event on Thursday, April 28, to provide information about the services they provide.
