District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer announced the arrest of eight individuals in connection with the operation of a major drug trafficking organization in Delaware County. The arrests are the result of the most intensive undercover operation by the County’s Narcotics Task Force (NTF) in years, with tremendous assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Delaware State Police (DSP) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Delaware County Council, District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer, and City of Chester Mayor Stefan Roots announced the kickoff of the Summer 2024 Safe Streets Program on July 15, 2024. The program was created to temporarily address a critical shortage of patrol officers in the Chester Police Department (CPD) by utilizing select County employees for non-patrol duties, thereby freeing up CPD officers to perform patrol duties – adding more officer to the streets. The program is expected to continue until the end of the summer, addressing the need to prevent and respond to the increase in crime that typically occurs in summer months.

Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer and Dr. Monica Taylor, Chair of Delaware County Council, announced their plans to observe National Crime Victims’ Rights Week with an event in front of the County Courthouse at noon on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

According to the National Office for Victims of Crime, “this year’s national theme—How would you help? Options, services, and hope for crime survivors.—focuses on the moral responsibility we all have as human beings to actively participate in the healing of others. It is a call-to-action for us all to create safe environments for crime victims to share what happened to them. By doing so, we’re able to offer support, options for life-saving services, and, most importantly, a pathway to hope.”
