David Zandstra, the 83 year-old former minister charged in the abduction and murder of eight year-old Gretchen Harrington in 1975, will be returned to Delaware County on Thursday afternoon. Following Zandstra’s confession in July 2023, the Office of the District Attorney has been working with the Pennsylvania State Police and authorities in Marietta, Georgia to arrange for the defendant’s successful extradition to Pennsylvania.
District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer will be available to speak with reporters after 3pm on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
