Delaware County District Attorney announced today another successful undercover operation by the Delaware County Narcotics Task Force.
In his comments, the District Attorney expressed his enormous appreciation for the work of the Task Force members. “It is because of the commitment and the courage of the men and women of the Narcotics Task Force that we are able to successfully prosecute individuals such as this defendant. This work is dangerous – as evidenced by the multiple firearms seized – but it is also essential to the health and safety of our community. A particular debt of gratitude is due to Lieutenant Nick Coffin, a member of the NTF and the Marple Police Department, and Criminal Investigation Division Sergeant Tony Ruggieri, the leader of the NTF,” said District Attorney Stollsteimer.
On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the Delaware County Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant at the residence and storage facility of Edward Plumley of Aldan, PA following a two month investigation into illegal drug trafficking. The investigation was led by Lt .Nick Coffin of Marple Police Department, who serves as a member of the Task Force. The following items were seized:
- Approximately 1,675 grams of methamphetamine
- Approximately 214 grams of cocaine
- Approximately 850 grams of marijuana
- Approximately 650 Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Film 8mg/2mg
- (272) small, round, blue pills, imprinted with “M 30” that resemble Oxycodone Hydrochloride 30 mg, a Schedule 2 controlled substance
- Firearm: White, “IC380”, 380 ACP, Serial # unknown
- Firearm: Black “Dan Wesson Guardian:, 9mm, Serial #1906742, that contained one (1) DW Metal Magazine containing 9x 9mm ball rounds (FMJ)
- Firearm: Silver/Black “Tanfoglio Giuseppe Mod GT27”, 25 caliber, Serial #201603, that contained 2x metal magazine containing 7 rounds of .25 and nine (9) loose .25 rounds
- Firearm holsters
- Bulk new/unused apple bags of various sizes
- Three (3) digital scales
- Cell phone
- $14,698 US Currency
- 2001 Harley Davidson Motorcycle
- 2018 Infiniti Q70 sedan
Bail was set at $500,000.
