Two arrested for Prospect Park home invasion, one remains at large

Media, Pa – Today District Attorney Jack Whelan and Chief Cliff Engel of the Prospect Park Police Department announced the arrest of two individuals responsible for the a armed home invasion that occurred the evening of Monday, May 30 in Prospect Park.  The third suspect, known as “Pappo” pictured below, remains at large. Anyone with information in reference to the individual pictured is asked to call 911 or Prospect Park Police at 610-534-2222.

Nickoly Lewis, 18 of the 200 block of Holiday Drive in Pocono Summit, PA and Dakir Grant, 23, of the 7000 block of Ventnor Drive in Tobyhanna, PA are currently in police custody.

On Monday, May 30 at approximately 10:23 p.m., Prospect Park Police responded to an emergency call for a subject with a gun inside a residence located at 213 Lafayette Avenue. According to the homeowners, three black males had entered the front door which was unlocked. All three men were armed with firearms.  While holding the homeowner at gunpoint on the kitchen floor, the men searched the home for valuables. One of the residents was able to call 911 to report the robbery and assault. At that time, the three men abruptly fled the residence through the rear door.

Several units arrived on scene to assist, including the District Attorney’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and the Norwood Police Department. During the search of the house with a K-9, a shotgun was located near the property. At approximately 12:45 a.m., Chief Cliff Engel made contact with Corporal Mertz from the Pocono Mt. Regional Police Department who had responded to a residential burglary and theft of an Audi A8 which he believed was connected to the invasion in Prospect Park. At approximately 1:00 a.m., Chief Engel made contact with Office McCauly of the Philadelphia Police Department 6th District who had arrested a black male at 11th and Callowhill Street who he believed may be connected to the home invasion.  

 

Anyone with information in regards to the third perpetrator known as “Pappo” is asked to call 911 or Prospect Park Police at 610-534-2222.
